Stock Dana 44 from a TJ = $1000 (from that website)
8.8 w/stock discs, new brackets and flange = Under $1000
Dana 60 from a F250, cut down, resplined axles, new brackets and discs = $1000. Comes with extra weight and less clearance!

They are The 60 would be a candidate if you are ever considering doing 60's in the future and dont want to spend the time and money building 2 axles. They can be comparable in price if you dont buy a Detroit or bore out the spindles and do 35 spline shafts.
