Thats right, its really a Hemi. This is an engine that was pulled out of a 2006 Charger R/T. Im still contemplating whether or not I want to keep this thing since I just put a couple bucks into it to rebuild it. A little history on this engine. It was pulled out of an 06 Charger for a lower end knock and was replaced with a junkyard motor. I pulled it apart and found a bent connecting rod was the cause of the knock. The reason it was knocking was because the guy had driven through a puddle and got a water in the intake. Each piston/rod assembly was checked and all were still perfect and straight. no blown head gaskets, engine was not overheated, cylinder heads are still mint, no bent valves, no bent pushrods, etc etc. It was ran for a total of 5 miles after the knock started, pulled out and put on the side. I took out the old bent piston assy and replaced it with a mopar one. Head gaskets are all new Fel-Pro. Everything torqued to spec. The engine had religious Mobil 1 oil changes as well every 4-5k. Very well taken care of and the internals were clean as a whistle when I pulled it apart. The engine only has about 62k miles on it. The engine has everything on it except thermostat housing, headers (I have them, with the O2 sensors, but the studs are bent and need to be replaced as well as new gaskets), the intake man needs to be replaced because it was the one off the junkyard motor and was broken when it was delivered. Does not come with accessories like PS pump, alternator, and AC compressor because I dont have them. they didnt come with the other motor so they had to be switched over. As of now I cant think of anything it does or doesnt have. PM me if interested. As I said I may want to keep it for a project of my own
but if the money is right I may take it. It seems the going rate for these things is between 2500 and 3k and the JY motor that replaced it was 2850. So shoot me some offers and Ill let you know. I have the VIN from the vehicle, the engine cover, and the engine harness.
