Loooove Zac Brown Band. I would say they are a Bluegrass/country mix. They are great. I will also pretty much agree with everything Andrew said

I think Kenny Chesney is mainstream country but that's cool, he puts on a pretty good concert that most people can have a lot of fun at, no matter what kind of music they like.

I think Country music is great, its not for everyone. Zac Brown Band, Jake Owen, Williams Riley, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels all good. I have heard Kenny CHesney does great concerts and would have gone to his Summer Concert at Gillette Satdium but he isnt touring this summer.

I actually prefer Southern Rock to full on Country. Examples are ZZ Top, Clutch, Black Oak Arkansas and Johnny Cash.

If you don't like country go to a concert a look at all the tail running around. Don't get me wrong, I'm the same as you Will, I listen to a lot of alternative and rock, but country does grow on you. Whats the expression, if you play a country music backwards your dog comes back, your truck comes back, and your wife comes back? One thing I can appreciate about country music is that the underlying meaning of the songs has some sustinence to it. Their not talking about fucking bitches with their magic sticks, drinking 40's, and how filty rich and shiny their chains are around their necks.

There is plenty of tail running around any concert.

Yes, most country music is downright depressing.

A lot of country songs do not have deep, underlying meanings are one reason I stay away from most country is because it is about being filthy rich, fucking bitches and drinking heavily. I swear to Christ, if I hear one more country song about how awesome cowgirls are in tight jeans and how much beer they drink, I'm going to snap and nuke a planet.

I went to a country festival once just because a bunch of my buddies were going. There was plenty of women, but not many of whom would I would be interested in. They were mostly either throwing up drunk or none too attractive.

As for the music, it all sounds the same to me, all they talk about is being country, like "im country" or "im a country boy and I got a pickup truck and some guns I like drinkin and prayin to Jesus". I mean hey... nothing wrong with that, but I get sick of hearing the same theme in every song. And dont say I never listen to it, my buddies listen to this crap all the damn time and it gives me a headache, maybe if some of these singers had some originality I wouldn't mind it. Granted maybe they only listen to "pop country" but it still sucks.

Only country i've ever heard that was pretty good was a small local bluegrass band I went to see one time was pretty awesome. They wrote all their own stuff and it was some pretty quality songwriting.

But for now i'll stick with my Rock and Reggae, where every song isnt about the same thing.
