Satellite TV

Now that im out of the barracks and into an appartment, I have choice for a TV provider.

I could get cable, but its expensive, for what you get. Its like 50 bucks for just regular cable ( 70ish ) channels or less thats it.

Ive been seeing a lot of commercials for Direct TV. Seems like a pretty good deal, 30 a month for the first year, 150ish channels, no setup or install fees.


Anyone have direct tv ? What about the other satellite providers? Ive never had satellite before so just looking for some input.

satellite can be good or bad depending on the area. ask local people honestly cause it can cut in and out frequently depending on reception where cable does not. also look into charges AFTER the first year and cancellation fees for both services. lots of hidden fees when it comes to tv

I have directTV here in Philly and it is pretty awesome. Lots and lots of channels which is nice. Never had any experience with it in bad weather or any of that yet tho.
