I will tell you what really happened. Up in Alaska halliburton is working on a weather/ mind control device (Jesse Ventura told me so i believe him). People are getting very suspicious of it especially after all of the recent earth quakes, so they needed to create a "disaster" to take peoples minds off of the weather/ mind control device. Well what a perfect way to do it create an oil spill in the ocean. This is all playing into the governments agenda to control your brain man, slowly creating sheep. In a matter of months this will all be covered up by the government where they will tell the media that it was a very small leak but one of the disgruntled employees decided to make it up to defame the company as a whole. That particular well was some sort of a test facility according to the articles I have read. Its output doesn't even come close to figuring in on the price of a barrel of oil so the last thing it will do is cause gas prices to go up.

Now on the environmental and economic side of things; absolutely devastating.

Hopefully, we can learn from this mistake and see that this never happens again.

More safety precautions must be taken and countermeasures must be created in the event that this happens again.

It shouldn't be shrugged off, you're right. The Rig was a test facility to go after a certain type of well that we had never tapped into before, and as you can see, Nature is just as unpredictable as anything else.

If we cannot learn how to drill that specific well from that Rig, then we can learn how to clean up future spills.

Just because one person got shot, doesn't mean we should ban guns.
