The greatest honor is in those who donate their TIME, one thing way more valuable then money.

The most tragic part of the whole thing is the people of Haiti are robbing eachother instead of helping.

I work a lot of overtime (take incentive to work extra to better my own life) and the government likes to take about half of that and give it to other people who don't take incentive to make their lives or anyone elses better. I am sure enough of my money is going there with or without me concenting. I hope if the roles were reversed, the people of Haiti and all of the other countries that the United States tries to help, would come our aid.... wonder if that would happen?

you guys make good points, but i'm the one asshole that said yes...mainly b/c (and i know its probably bullshit) but i'd like to think IF something like that ever hit here again, and they were in a BETTER position than they are and were, they would send us some help...like i said, probably bullshit, but oh well, it didnt kill me to sign over a few bucks and sacrifice the jr. bacon cheeseburgers. The only other thing i consider is not EVERY single one of them are as evil as the ones you hear about in the news. America has our share of criminals, gang affiliated punks, etc etc. Do you want other countries saying "fuck ALL americans, they all suck b/c i saw a group of gang members on the news getting arrested for raping/murdering a bunch of women"? america is broke. where are we getting the money to help? were gonna go over there, get some crazy diseases, and fuck the rest of the world. wheres dominican republic? why is america always getting stuck saving everyone but itself?

the only benefit to sending troops there is that they wont be in the desert getting killed. otherwise its just our funds being wasted when we should be focused on fixing our own economic ruins.
