Haiti was hit with ANOTHER earthquake, this time a 6.1.
Port-au-Prince, Haiti (CNN) -- A strong aftershock rocked Haiti on Wednesday morning just as much-needed medical aid was set to reach the earthquake-ravaged nation.
The 6.1-magnitude aftershock was about 6.2 miles deep, with an epicenter about 35 miles (60 kilometers) west-southwest of the capital of Port-au-Prince, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
It rattled people struggling to recover from the devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake that walloped the impoverished country January 12, killing at least 72,000 people.
Such a strong tremor can pose significant danger in a nation where damaged buildings are teetering precariously. The aftershock was the strongest to hit Haiti since last week's original quake, the USGS said.
Patients at a hospital near Haiti's airport in Port-au-Prince immediately started praying as the ground shook like a ship rocking back and forth. They asked for forgiveness and protection, a nurse said.
the earthquakes are trying to tell them something...
Yeah that they should sink into the ocean.
The first quake killed, what, 200,000 people? That is a huuuuge dent in the population of that country. I wonder what the numbers will be from this aftershock.

I won't donate because I think that they are getting enough help. The U.S. has lots of problems of its own and should puts more effort towards itself than others. It sucks that people are losing so many in this, but it is a risk of being earth inhabitant. Natural disasters happen, but I think that a government should have some way of supporting itself and not just abandon the people to fight amongst themselves while letting others come in an try to pick up the broken pieces. The government was pretty much in shambles before being broken up in the quakes.
I voted no, because I just spent $500 at RuffStuff, and to be honest, I'm selfish, and would rather spend the money I earn on myself than donate it to charity.
Fuck No. Its called natural selection. Survival of the fittest. It really pisses me off that every progressive tree hugging socialist son of a bitch in this country, thinks we can save everyone, while our own countrys economy goes by the wayside. Everything is about a move to globalization. If you really think about it almost any big issue we are dealing with stems primarily from one thing. That one thing being the push towards "The New World Order." Sorry but F everyone else, if we need to build a brick wall around this country then so be it. If I offened anyone suck it up, I'm so sick of the politically correct bullcrap, that has come to be part of our way of life. Maybe if the Hatians didn't build their whole fucking city from shitty ass concrete with no rebar, they wouldn't have lost so many. But watch, half the money will dissapear between their corrupt lack of governmnet and fat fucks who will sdquander it, and the rest will be spent rebuilding it just the way it was before. And guess what, that island sits right on top of a huge fault line, so its going to happen again. Its about as smart as rebuilding New Orleans. And what happens when more of this shit starts happening around the world? Everyone is going to expect us to be there to fix it, and at some point we simply wont be able to sustain it. Not to mention the fact that they will still hate us, even after we help them. GRRR, america to the rescue...

70% of there exports go to the US, not that I care just saying. I havent donated so I guess the answer is no.
what do they export?
i dont expect it being much by being a small country having a 70-80% unemployment rate.
anyway
when was the last time you donated to your own country? or donated to help the good people who lost thier jobs and need help getting back on thier feet, and are losing thier homes?
people have no problem donating to a third world country but most wouldn't even think of helping thier neighbors in need

it doesnt sound as cool telling a girl or your friends at the bookstore cafe that you donated to someone in america as it does that you helped an ailing 3rd world country hit by a disaster
