joe, to be less harsh, props for a good 1st attempt, but you must have known youd get ripped so fawkin hard for those things
... why not take em off again and make them angled instead of horizontal(to reduce the eyesore effect a bit), then paint them. and i was discussing the issue a little ways back with an officer i know and i believe he said the max is 1.5" outside of the flare. so there ya go you can use half the metal and still have some left for the rear flares

"eyesore" was my goal. i dont give a shit what ppl say and i dont care how it looks. it was more of a 
to cops than n e thing. + now i can run a fullwidth axle if i ever get one someday and still be covered
