actually, only on Phase I & II NA 2.5s. After 02 or 03 they started using the thicker head gaskets that the turbo 2.5s used.



WRX and RS 5spds are fine... behind the stock motor. I'm hard as hell on mine, lots of hard launches and downshifts.. I track and auto-x it. But, its a basically stock motor.

My RS is unstoppable in the snow with the snow tires. I'm very impressed by it.

see, i failed to get mine stuck this way. snow tires+gratuitous throttle input kept me going in 5" of snow. and my RS 1.5" lower than yours.

mine is a LOT quieter now using rotella syn 5w-40. i was using royal purple 10w-30 before that and it really didnt impress me.

Ever think it wasn't the oils fault but maybe yours? A thicker oil will help quiet engine noise.

I believe subaru makes a pretty good car, I just can't stand all the hype about the WRX.

I put a short throw in it, HKS Carbon TI cat back and I have a bell mouth catless downpipe but m not putting it on cause its loud as it is. I'm going to order a tractix access cable and play a bit with rom raider or open ecu.
