The design is not changing, that has been finalized.

However, the medium is not. I am currently having 500 printed on thickish paper stock, as I found a sick sick sick deal via the pirate4x4 vendor program, but for the future (as this is is what I wanted originally), I am thinking about plastic business cards, with a frosted clear finish.

this is frosted plastic (the clear is what im talking about)



I only want it shown on the edges, as pictured below..

Which design would appeal to you most? A thick quality paper stock card, or a plastic card designed like the one below(think: like a gift card in feel)

I think the plastic would look cool. Everyone else has paper ones, so its just another thing to make you stand out and separate you from the others. Makes it look like you are more legit and try harder

this is precisely my thinking, even aside from visual cues, the feel of a plastic card is way solid

but paper is a standard that has proven itself and is cheaper to produce. (you can write on it too, which is a plus)

paper business cards im more likely to crumble up and jam in my pocket, fold up and put in my wallet ( they disintegrate after awhile ) and generally , paper ones dont hold up and get lost.

if you handed me a plastic business card, I would put it in my pocket/wallet, but in either, it would be less likely i would throw it away, crumble it up ( its plastic) . If i put it in my wallet it would last longer and be more useful in the future. And makes you look more professional.

Company I work for... one of our branches makes the plastic cards. Alot of people have them. I prefer & carry paper cards.

i'm more prone to throwing out or destroying paper cards as well. for example: i have an HMC card in my wallet and its so worn down from being in there i can hardly read it. though i have a plastic blockbuster card still in my wallet even though they went out of business locally and a borders card though i never ever go there. plus i think the frosted plastic looks cool. be different, do it
