For those of you who have AAA memberships, do you think they are worth it. Also, how much does it cost per year, what benefits do they offer , and how often do you use it.

Main reason im thinking about getting it is the tow service, im 395 miles from rausch and would hate to be stranded there with a broke jeep. Between AAA towing and roadside assistance towing from Allstate, i could probably get a free tow from PA to VA

its probably the best purchase I have ever made.

    get the plus membership.

its a little more moolah and you get 97 more miles of free towing.

as for the benefits. I'm not gonna list them all. go to www.aaa.com and look yourself.

I pay 56 dollars a year, but that's split between my mom and dad as well. That's 100 miles free tow, which is the biggest plus and imho worth every penny.
Also like 5 gal. gas if you're stranded (maybe 3, enough to get you to a gas station)
      Well, Sam listed it all.
But I say you'd be silly not to get it.

you get a decent discount at napa. I have saved enough on napa purchases to make it worth it right there

the 3 tows up to 100 miles each are well worth it. Ive used it to tow my jeep once, then my silverado when the fuel pump went and used it last year to bring a the 95 grand cherokee I did home Well worth the money considering most towing places charge at least $75 just to hook up then so much per mile.

never used it for the discounts since i get sizeable discounts to advanced auto, napa , and carquest through my employer.
up to 40% off parts from advance auto parts, buy online and pick up at store for free-click here!

BEST INSURANCE POLICY YOU CAN GET. Not even kidding.

What do I pay a year, $60 or something? I got AAA Plus. 4 tows, first 100 miles are free. Fucking AMAZING when you wheel out of state like most of us here. Grand Wagoneer broke down in fucking Holyoke, MA, right near the Mabell trail, tow home was 98.9 miles back to Bridgeport, CT. FREE. My father and I each gave the guy $10. So worth it. No hassle bullshit like everything else in this world today.

Not sure on the price... its only once a year payment. My mom, dad, sister and I are all on the same plan.

I've used mine so many fuckin times.

Fried my distributor @ Mabell... towed me from the trail head to my house.

Fuel pump died in bum fuk PA... towed me all the way home.

Blew rear gears on the Merrit Pway heading to PA... towed me all the way home.

I left my wallet @ home by accident. 20 miles from home & needed gas... AAA ftw.

Friend locked his keys in the car @ the bar... AAA ftw.

Discounts on airfare, hotels, & shit like that.

You can also use your policy if you are with friends and one of their cars breaks down. I used it in New Hampsire for my friend when his starter went. As long as you are with the vehicle. you are good to go.

I have the regular membership, it was given to me when I graduated. I want to upgrade. It's amazing insurance. I haven't used it yet, but I fucking love knowing if I get stuck somewhere I can get home almost no problem. My friend has the plus, so if I'm far we get home no problem.

He used his card when his tranny dropped at the beach. We got towed back fo free.
A lady friend of mine popped a tire at the beach, free tow home. Its a legit buy, do it. You will not regret it.

Absolutely, get the 100 mile tow option. After about 10 trips to lam I was on a first name basis with the tow truck guy.

I got stranded in Manchester, NH at a tool concert because my PCM in my Acura TL got water on it from an air conditioning overflow vent or whatever. I got towed home over 100 miles and somehow AAA plus covered it. Tow woulda cost me something like 2K if I didn't have it. Cheers to AAA.
