We have 8 vehicles that got traded in for the program. Most are mint. A 99 durango with 50k, a eddie bower explorer, a mint diplomat, a 00 s10 with 10k. Its a shame to see these vehicles go. I cant wait to blow them up.Comment

we have our back lot full of clunkers, must be at least 25 of them. Im working at a kia dealership so basically their clunker cuts the price of the new car in half. what's the point of seizing the motors, i really don't get this at all. basically, taking good vehicles and destroying them, then giving someone who had a good car 4500 taxpayer dollars to get a new one
this whole thing makes no sense and is going to cost soo much money, this might be one of the stupidest gov programs ever. hooooray for wasteful spending
at least there will be a plethora of parts...... too bad the motors are all destroyed though.No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

i forget exactly why the engines get destroyed but we cant take ANY of the drivetrain. And junkyards are turning around and selling the entire clunker.
Will we got another ZJ in. Im gonna try and get the leather and tan rear seat again. 2000 XJ with goodies soon to be in pieces

The only good thing is that you can buy the clunkers....but for parts only. DMV stamps the title so it cannot be registered

lets spend a billiondy of taxpayer dollars to get rid of these perfectly good vehicles, and render them useless. now the people with the new vehicles have a new monthy car payment, higher insurance bill, all for 5 more mpg's.
and once that billiondy dollars runs out, lets take a billiondy more and put it into this programComment
