i saw a site selling a 12 or 14 megapixel kodak z810 or something for 78 bucks. It is the newer model of the one i had, it was a decent camera. Ill find the link for you, its takes video in 780p hd.

Yeah, but look at the dudes price range. The camera is on a sale for 78 bucks, its 12 megapixels, its just a regular old point and shoot but it takes video in HD which is something my SX10 CANT do.

well considering i had the same camera for over a year, it never took a shit. I sold it to my brother and its still working for him. Took 1000s of pictures with it.

Its not like hes buying the dollar store or walmart special. Kodak , as much as these camera jockeys on sis hate on, is a well known and big company. If they just sold cameras that died 1 month down the road they wouldnt be making money or selling cameras. For a point and shoot, for what dougs gonna use it for, would be perfect. It would take pictures so nice that your shitty ass dial up would take 2 hours to load.

maybe they just had luck, but honestly, i find it hard to believe that EVERY kodak camera makes takes shits in less than reasonable times. If that were the case, people would not buy kodak. Maybe your friends and family need to learn to take care of their shit better. If you take care of it, it isnt just gonna shit the bed.

just in my personal experience with a kodak digital it was terrible. broke really easily :-\ my canon was dropped in a puddle and dropped on many drunken occasions and drug against walls and still worked fine. i just bought a nikon yesterday and the pics it took look pretty good

meh, you guys can all hate on kodak. It was cheap, 10MP camera. It takes HD video, it has a huge LCD screen, it never broke on me or my brother and I bought it back in June 07. Ive dropped it, it went camping with me, been thrown around, and never broke. The pictures came out find, and compared to a Nikon or Canon point and shoot on auto mode, you probably wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the three. For a point and shoot, it did well IMO.
