Maybe this is just common knowledge, but are things always designed to break just about the time your warranty runs out? Especially with electronics?
I should probably consider myself lucky with this one because it could have turned out a lot worse. After having a series of thunderstorms last night, i come back to my room after class only to find that my Samsung 37" LCD wont turn on. The little red light indicating that it had power was lit but when i would press the power on button the light would flash, then remain solid and nothing would happen.
I bought the TV June 2nd of last year and the warranty is good for 12 months, which is in 3 days. I logged into my samsung account and it said my warranty was still valid so i requested service and they sent me to the nearest samsung repair store for no charge. Should have it back in 7-10 business days.
I cant even imagine how much it would have cost me to get it fixed if this had happened 4 days from now. Especially since i'm at school and i havent got an extra dollar to spare.
Now that i think of it my xbox did the same thing to me. It was coming down to the last few day on that warranty and BAM red ring of death.
wtf?
