Shops to rebuild alternators in the area

I had the starter for my 1950 jeep rebuilt at Clark-Son in New Haven last year. Small family owned and operated business, great work, super knowledgable and been around for a long time. Easy hit from the Boulevard. I think they do altenators as well. I know they do Injector pumps also. Give them a call, should be in the yellow pages

last time i replaced an alternator it was about $100, i couldnt see a rebuild being so much cheaper

Sometimes you get more for the money with a Rebuild than a Reman. The starter for my Jeep was 250 to rebuild, the alternative was a 220 reman. I got a new Bendix drive, rotor shaft, studs and brushes. A Remain could have been all old parts cleaned up with new brushes only...

Theres 3 small electric motor shops somewhat close to and where you work.Theres EMS(Electric Maintenance Service)in Bridgeport.B&J electric in Ansonia.Palmer's Electric Motors & Pumps in Stamford.You can try one of those places and see what they can do for you.

well nevermind about this. turns out the problem is not my alternator. dunno what it is.
