I got mine rebuilt like 8 years ago.
My boss said it's been a long time since he got an alternator rebuilt he just buys new ones now, not enough of a price difference but that is for stock models.

I got one that might be good from a 96 Cherokee if you want to try that?
It is still attached to the motor I pulled last summer. Never checked it you can always use Autozone to check it for you.

Try looking for electric motor repair companies.

ive done the "shit my alt is dead, its midnight, im in the middle of nowhere, and its another 100 miles home" thing driving on the highway with no lights on once. i dont really want to do it again.

and lifetime warranties suck when you just have to swap alts every year. plus, lifetimers are like 150 from autozone, mine rebuild was 90.

and my rebuilt has a 10 year warranty on it

last time i replaced an alternator it was about $100, i couldnt see a rebuild being so much cheaper
