Hello Pete,
The price of the complete 'Lower Door Guards' is 225.00+shipping, the upper 1/4 panel guards are 250.00+shipping. The tail light boxes are 160.00+shp for the 97-2001. The 84-96 boxes are 140.00+shp. Both are only the metal boxes. They will use a standard oval incandescent light or an oval LED and a round back-up light. All pieces will ship raw steel. Standard holes will allow the use of #12 pan head sheet metal screw or a 3/16" closed rivet for mounting the panels to the body.
All of the body armor is made from .119/11 ga. cold rolled steel. The design has evolved over 8 years of off roading. The use of 11 ga. CRS is to acheive the most protection possible while not risking the inner structure of the door or body of the vehicle. Its a "bend not break" type solution to common damage areas of the Jeep Cherokee.
I have tried different/thicker material over the years to only find that they will destroy the inner door structure before they yeild themselves. This is not a good situation. I also tried .187 for the upper 1/4s to find that after a few good hits they wrinkled the 'C' and 'D' pillars. I have used this armor for 8 years and on 5 different trucks, it has been the best solution to trail damage I have found.
