go to any Japanese steakhouse (even a lot of legit steakhouses are starting to use it)...
Look up a chemical called transglutaminase, it's absolutely everywhere and ten times worse than non-organic beef. It actually releases small amounts of ammonia into the meat as it builds protein bonds. And it's being used by restaurants, regular non-fastfood/ chain restaurants..... It's not even used in most processed meat products. You're not safe anywhere!!! AHHHHH! But just like the mercury in canned tuna from years back, it's in such small amounts that it is irrelevant.
like the studies that say refrigerant and cfc's destroy the ozone? The studies that prove carbon emissions are bad for the environment? The studies that prove cigarettes are bad for you?
So, Tobacco companies, Coal companies, those are really small industries right? And a negative study wouldn't put a lot of people out of work.
There is nothing, and never will be nothing stopping or preventing a scientist or organization from conducting a study. In fact, all of the studies that have been done find NO problems with products. And the reason that more are not being done is because scientists understand what I'm telling you.... The stuff is safe.
If I were you, I would worry a lot more about the constant bombardment of radiation our bodies see from all the technology around us more than anything. That has potential to be a legitimate problem, not a hippie built fake one like GMO's and Mansanto.

That is because if said studies existed it would put a lot of motherfuckers out of a job
