Not happy but not surprised. Land Rover used to go nuts about their solid axle setup in their whole lineup. Claiming its the best way to build a truck. They ditched the solid axle years ago.

Unibody 2 dr wrangler with a soft top would bring down weight substantially...

There are options available for at least one model instead of ditching the solid axle, ifs has been made to be proven in the rocks. I see no reason that with certain aftermarket companies in the game that long travel components and heavy duty cv shafts wouldn't be made available.

If they go ifs, see if you can buy some stock in rcv
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

              I like the first reply:

I really like this. Any other plans?
              Yup, set it on fire.

I figure it this way, by the time they outright ban offroading in the Northeast, we will have all moved to the desert or a surrounding area and we will all have prerunner Wranglers with the new IFS and we will upgrade it with brand new parts from #BigMattyZOffroadOasis Fabrication or DMR Transaxles or Total Chaos.

I'm just trying to think positive here.

I'm sure the aftermarket will have an expensive field day with an ifs wrangler. Could be worth while

so it wouldn't be just IFS that loses weight it's going to be an all new redesigned unibody maybe?
