Your reasoning was that the substance can "only harm you and you alone," thus it should be legal.

I simply brought up that someone else could be "harmed" other than you, which would make your reasoning invalid. None of your evidence logically followed your original premise.

because alcohol is a much more socially acceptable substance. it has been legal for a very long time and accepted as okay in moderation.

I have never been drunk in my entire life, but I have drank alcohol on countless occasions.

so in which case, me doing heroin and overdosing affects anyone but my immediate family and friends? sure my name might be in the newspaper for a day. and some form of funeral service will be in play im sure but who actually will it impact?

No. I haven't. However if someone i knew did heroin and constantly got ugly and aggressive from it, i wouldn't be hanging out with them for long.

People are going to continue to do heroin whether it be illegal or not. I don't see why i'd end up hanging out with heroin addicts if they legalized it.
