my biggest pet peeve:

on my way home from work each night, i have to cross an intersection. at the light, there are 4 lanes:

1 left turn, 1 straight, 2 right turn

every single day, without a doubt, someone is in the 1st right turn lane and goes straight, almost hitting me and whoever else is in the correct lane.

that makes me mad. especially because the lanes have arrows in them, and the traffic light has signs indicating which way to go.

is that the intersection of old country road and wolf hill by st anthony's? if it is, there's always an asshat who does that to me too

I'm actually glad your brought this up. I have been making southern CT a better place to drive, one driver at a time. A bad driver in my place of teaching is someone who either, cuts you off, doesn't go when they're supposed to, drives a Prius, or use a signal.

Through my class I have used the extended beep technique which allows me to lay on my horn to get out my frustration until the person in the wrong realizes they're wrong. This may take a while. Also, people who blow the arrows forcing you to not go on a green light are greeted via horn blasting power wagon launching from the stop line. People who drive a Prius are also welcomed with what ever my mood is that day, but rest assured, they get theirs.

So, if your in southern CT and see a black truck beeping at you for a long period of time, figure out what you did, and never do that thing again.

My definition of a good driver is someone who doesn't piss off other people who are also driving "well" meaning if you piss me off while I am obeying all the laws you don't know how to drive.
