Is the 21 drinking age appropriate?

You can say trained and conditioned all you want, my brother went for 8 weeks of boot camp for the navy and didn't change one bit. You can train and condition someone all you want, time and life experience will do 10x more good for a person than 6-12 weeks of training will ever do. An 18 year old will be an 18 year old.

so getting sloshed every weekend as a teenager will better prepare them for when they are 21 and legally drink.

Majority of the world's drinking age is below 21. Few countries share our drinking age.

Kids who want to drink will find a way to drink whether it's legal or not. Someone will buy them alcohol. By keeping the age at 21 you keep all the underage drinkers in the dark, out of sight, making it more dangerous for help to come should a problem arise.

I dont know how i feel about this topic. Drinking to get "fucked up" is extremely stupid. No matter the age i feel people will abuse it if they want whether it be 15 or 25. Lowering the age is said that it wont be a big deal because then its legal and people wont try to sneak around an think its "cool," but that opinion by others can go either way.

Look at european countries who have a lower alcohol drinking age, most of them don't have as much of a problem with drinking and driving as we do.
