just because theyre "young" has no bearing on the logic behind the counter argument.- Will

the way i see it is that 18 year old high school kids have just received their license and have not been driving for a while. They have cops come into schools going dont drink and drive blah blah blah and the kids say "fuck it im a good driver it wont happen to me." They feel invincible on the road and feel like they can get away with anything. 21 year old kids have been driving for at least 4 years by than and are much more responsible and have a little more respect for the road and other drivers.
what pisses me off is when I hear kids bragging about how they drive home after drinking ten beers. I just wanna punch them. I heard this every monday in high school from the "cool" kids that went out and threw keggers in their parents basement while they were gone on vacation. then they proceeded to drive home and get away with itP8R

if it were able to be properly enforced, the 21 age limit would be very effective. i agree with will on the military argument. they are trained and conditioned to do their job. i feel like a hypocrite saying so, but most underage drinkers are complete jackasses. however, i get drunk with sober people so im never making decisions completely on my own impaired rationale.
keep it 21 except for military personnelwinng. all the goddamned time.

Majority of the world's drinking age is below 21. Few countries share our drinking age.
Kids who want to drink will find a way to drink whether it's legal or not. Someone will buy them alcohol. By keeping the age at 21 you keep all the underage drinkers in the dark, out of sight, making it more dangerous for help to come should a problem arise.
