you go through endless training, conditioning, and preparation in the military to be tasked with that responsibility. and it changes people. and conditions them with whats necessary.

drunken teens are merely that, drunken teens, and put peoples lives in danger behind the wheel more often than not when drunk driving. its a matter of maturity.

the military argument is completely out the window IMO

One of the main arguements that 18 year olds aren't allowed to drink is because their "minds" aren't completely developed yet, and are still growing. Yet being capable of sending yourself to war to see some fucked up shit is alright.

Majority of the world's drinking age is below 21. Few countries share our drinking age.

Kids who want to drink will find a way to drink whether it's legal or not. Someone will buy them alcohol. By keeping the age at 21 you keep all the underage drinkers in the dark, out of sight, making it more dangerous for help to come should a problem arise.

When youre in the military, you LIVE the military, it is your life, and the government owns your brain to condition you for your job.

When you go to your buddy's house on a friday night after the game to get sloshed with a group of friends and fuck shit up afterwards, thats hardly comparable to military service age comparison

You can say trained and conditioned all you want, my brother went for 8 weeks of boot camp for the navy and didn't change one bit. You can train and condition someone all you want, time and life experience will do 10x more good for a person than 6-12 weeks of training will ever do. An 18 year old will be an 18 year old.
