so 2 months ago i had a local shop drill out a snapped exhaust manifold bolt and replace the gasket . . . or so i thought. turns out that he snapped a drill bit in there trying to drill it out, gave up and tacked a stud in there instead. well the stud snapped (within days but i didn't do anything about it cuz it didn't start leaking again til recently) and now i'm in the same position i was in 2 months ago . . . just 250 bucks shorter and now a drill bit in there instead of a bolt
i'm assuming drill bits are pretty hard . . . can they still be drilled out???? i wont tear into an exhaust manifold job so if i gotta have a shop do this all over again i'm gonna be pissed.
the only saving grace is the offending stud is the first one closest to the radiator so you can finagle a drill in there without taking everything apart
