I got 8" travel for all 4 corners.

I have stock mounting locations though.

You could run 12's if you wanted, but i'd say 10's are gewd along with most other people on here running the same setup.

You cant run 12s without bottoming out on them a lot.

If i were to do it again tho i wouldn't buy anything but a rebuildable shock tho. Cheaper in the long run and hold their value more for resale i think.

255/70 is the highest you can get in the 5150s fwiw.

yep, with stock mounting points anyway.

stock shocks 6-7" travel is good if you have high clearance rear mounts (we are speaking xj of course)

i ran 12's with a 4" lift before and i just dropped coils all over the place

i was going to make a thread about this seeing as i want to get 5150's. thanks for saving me the trouble joe.

looks like 8" travel all around is ideal for 3.5" lift?

I'm gonna run 10's on around 3" of lift.

i think im going to go with 10 front and 8 rear because im going to make high clearance rear shock mounts...

hmmm things to ponder. i don't want to be bottoming out or anything, my jeep is gonna be just like phil's hence why i was checkin out the 8's... adam has 8's too. someone sway my decision one way or the other

Sam can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he ran 10's on 3".

I guess it also depends on what tires you plan on running, because that will effect bumpstops.
