i just cut slits every 3 inches or so, and folded them over via hammer. Just be careful though, there are spot welds and if you cut them I think you will separate the fender. -

on mine i just cut 2 little sections out of the front by the tire and the back by the bumper and folded the inner and outter pieces up. weld that shit up and it's water tight.94 xj 4.0L, AW4, 242
