  • I found FUN under my jeep today

So I was driving my jeep around sans doors this day and happened to notice my swaybar was dangling, so while I was putting it back up I see that my passenger side upper cotrol arm mount is cracked...... about 92% aways around.....

So my near future plans included pulling the axle anyways to do the welding and junk for my wj swap, which is now officially starting tomorrow, but the real question is this:

    do I bother

    a) welding and plating the og mount

    b) buy a new, beefier mount from someone like ruffstuff or ballistic

or c) say fuck it, I'm gonna be putting my longarms in soon, I'll just run a "wristed" longarm, much like Alexander "Utah" Crosby has.

In reality my question is durability and cost, a is the quickest one to get the jeep on wheels, cuz I won't have to wait till the longatms go in, b is the most expensize but most solid, but c is the cheapest and will motivate to put my stiffener/longatms on

help me decide before I blow my brainszess out

He is talking about the axle side UCA mount.

Pull it out and plate the shit out of it. My setup isnt ideal but im not spending a lot of money on a d30.

I have the longarms and stiffeners, just not sure if it was worth trying to save the mount or not

if you do a wristed radius arm, use larger than a 10mm bolt for the upper

and eliminate rubber bushings if at all possible
