I wheeled mine locked with 32,33, and 34s, never broke a shaft. Blew a ujoint but im sure FWD helped that. Im going to rock 35s on and wheel more carefully. But im going to try and find a front 44 to build up slowly.

I should be locked with matching gears next weekend.. I've got a set of 297 shafts and a non vacuum housing to swap in also, should be a nice upgrade

i'm not gonna lie, the way you wheel and the fact that you gots a manual trans make this statement surprise me. If anyone should have snapped something......
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

Most annoying thing about my jeep. I love having a standard trans, love driving it but in the rocks I want to shoot myself. This is why the 99 is an auot because it will be the trail rig.

you shouldnt be allowed to run a dana 30 period. I dont care if its open on stock tires, you will break it. your jeeps should just come stock with dana 60s

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

My truggy has a aussie locker up front on 260 joints with a disco hp30. I have 4:56 gears in it on 36" tsls. I replaced the carrier once and I go through an aussie about once every 6 months. My Jeep also is powered by a tbi 2.5.
