  • what kind of axles do you have?

ive got a bent rear axle and just wondering what you guys have underneath and what you recommend.
right now i have a dana 30 but i do have 31s and a 2". in the future i may go another 2" for a lift if that makes any difference.
what were debating right now is if i should replace, upgrade to dana 44, or get a new offroading heavy duty axle kit. of course replacing from a junkyard would be the cheapest and maybe best option right now, but if its gonna cost me down the road id rather not. also if im replacing the rear i should go ahead an swap out the front at the same time right &if im going bigger in back then i have to go bigger in front??? my jeeps a daily driver but id like to go on some trails every once in a while but nothing too hard.

just would like to hear what youve got, why you got it, and what you use your vehicle for.

i drove mine welded front and rear on a 60 and 14 bolt....

but i also drove it on a welded 8.25 and 30....

throw a lunchbox locker (powertax, aussie, lockright) in the rear and you will be good to go... ..

        u wont regret it... trust

you will notice a little more wear to the rear tires... but thats bout it....
once you learn to drive with a certain setup... it becomes second nature.. and you willl LOVE it offroad

i agree- go with a 29spl CC8.25. they're a good axle and readily available. lockers sometimes are a pain in the ain to find for them, but if you look in the right places you'll find em.

if you can find a xj44 for a good price by all means get it, if not go for the 8.25 as for the front it's fine
i have a dana hp30 and a LSD44 as of right now mines a daily driver

Agreed with everyone, go with the Chrysler 8.25, 29 spline, that came in the xj, bolt in upgrade, and if you get it ata upull it's only like ~$150

I had an 8.25 29 Spline with an Aussie locker. The locker was the greatest thing I bought for that Jeep
