At 33" tires i doubt you would completely hate it with 4.88's. Like Adam said get 6:1 gears when you can afford it, until then run 4.88's. With the 30 in the front you also gain some ground clearance over a 44 when you can build a 30 plenty strong enough for up to 35's.

ohhh alright sam.....def got some good ideas here and that axle in ohio is pretty cheap. and the whole ground clearance issue would be helped with a 30. however, im not too comfortable running a locked D30 with 35s. thats why i would keep it at 33s and lock it. but if i have the right gears, i should be fine. and that motor isnt too powerful.
