  • e-brake question

My xj is a standard and my e brake is really loose like it barely works. I'm just wondering where I can tighten it from, underneath or at the handle? I've never really had a problem with one or screwed with one so idk. Thanks for any replies.

u tighten it from underneath. But its not a terribly big deal, my 95 is standard and I havent had a working hand brake for almost a year, just leave it in gear.

Make sure your drum brakes are adjusted up that might be the problem, especially if it used to work.

this.....take out the rubber plug on the back side of the backing plate and turn the starwheel inside. this will adjust your rear brakes as well as tighten your e brake up....just dont go too far

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.
