My xj is a standard and my e brake is really loose like it barely works. I'm just wondering where I can tighten it from, underneath or at the handle? I've never really had a problem with one or screwed with one so idk. Thanks for any replies.

u tighten it from underneath. But its not a terribly big deal, my 95 is standard and I havent had a working hand brake for almost a year, just leave it in gear.-Caleb

1999 XJ 4 inchs of lift or so, 35s and some other stuff. -
Make sure your drum brakes are adjusted up that might be the problem, especially if it used to work.RCrocs #123 Brown CJ-5

this.....take out the rubber plug on the back side of the backing plate and turn the starwheel inside. this will adjust your rear brakes as well as tighten your e brake up....just dont go too farOriginally posted by customcreationsllc View Post
