i eventually plan on 33x12.5 and i really dont want to go bigger because it starts getting stupid looking on the WJ when you have to hack up everything...

this is where i want to be...

ill probably look around for the cheapest price for an 8.8 around here and probably buy it within the next few months and just slowly work on it and do whatever i can do myself on it and then find someone to finish it and put it in....

If anything doing an 8.8 will be narrower in the rear. I don't see why going to a super 88 would make it wider, the housing itself is still the same.

8.8 eliminates the c-clips and does make up for the .25" of whatever lost per side. its not worth the cost imho

yea im trying to make this as cheap as possible...id really like to go 4:56 but i will save a decent amount keeping the 4:10 in the 8.8 if i can find one that is...

youll save $400 bucks at minimum. $200 for gears+install kit and $200+ for labor to install.

i have the dana 35...and its longer than an xj, tj, zj's dana 35 which i think would make the shafts even weaker...

no i probably won't beat on it so much, but when im 200 miles at rausch from home or whatever the distance is, it will be more comforting lol...

and if im going through all the $ and effort to gear and lock id rather put it in something useful...

He can get spacers to compensate for the 88 being so narrow and to convert to 5 on 5.

you guys think the spacers will be to big...going from a ~59 WMS (8.8 if im correct) to my D35 WMS which is 63.5
