32s will not be much better at all. Go with 33s, trust me. Assuming you have an auto with a 4.0 you will have 3.55 gears.

well 33s are a big price diffrent i started with wanting 31s then 32s well ill look into 33s but i dont wanna cut alot of my fenders and i like my stock fenderflares i only have a 3 inch lift wich is ment for 31s i planed on those but if i get bushwacker fender flares or trim i think ill go with 32s but id 33s arent to much more maybe those but ill loose alot of power any one have any ideas how much it would cost to put 4 10 gears in the front and rear ?

goddamn I keep getting beat.
Putting 4.10 gears in will not be cheap and if you have a dana 35 rear it will be a waste of time and money. you will need to cut a decent amount out of your fenders but you can reuse the flares if you really want to. no lift is really meant for a specific tire size...Last edited by wannabejeep; 02-15-2009, 12:15 AM.1993 XJ sport 3.5" rustys 33" MTZ's armored.

33s fit great under 3 inchs of lift. but seeing as your set on 32s, you know they recommned 32s under a 4.5 inch lift! Most people here run 33s- 36 under that much lift. You can possibly find 4.10 axles in the junk yard but 4.56 is better with 32s or 33s.
Heres my rig with 33s. I need to trim a little more in the front and bumpstop all the way around and ill be fine.

i have basically every bolt-on for the 4.0 and it sucked driving on 33s with stock gears. the 10 mpg also sucked.

Like the above guys said, your focused too much on adding power back to make it feel like stock. Unless you supercharge your 4.0 thats not gonna happen. Key word is GEARS GEARS GEARS. I would start looking for a junkyard 8.25 rear out of a 97+ xj and go from there.

I personally went with 31s b/c I drive on road a lot and didn't plan on regearing. Even on 31s I do not like driving my car on the highway, but don't notice a difference around town really. The other reason I went with 31s is I know I would have taken forever to have trimmed to fit 32s considering I have a pile parts that are sitting in my garage waiting to be installed and I still want to trim/relocate flares and bumpstop.
