  • Steering Box Braces

I'm looking into buying a steering box brace and I'm wondering if anyone had experience with either the TNT one or C-ROC brace. Pros and Cons between the two?

    C-ROC

    Thanks in advance!

They look identical to me for the most part, especially functionality

i run a c-rok one, solid unit, what can i say, it is what it is

the tnt is only the inner. c-rok you can get inner, outer or both. they seem almost identical so if the package deal is cheaper go with that. i run the inner c-rok as well

Correct... The above link the TnT is inner only... while the c-rok is inner/outter 1 side.

        I've got this...

        http://tntcustoms.com/page.asp?pageid=58

Its inner & outter bracing... I also bought the featured upgrade @ the bottom for the pass side frame brace.

Its beef... both side braces wrap underneath the unibod rails. I'm almost positive that the TnT goes further back along the frame than the c-rok brace.

i say dont bother with an outer brace. if you geta bumper, that serves the same purpose as an outer brace if you have proper unibody tie ins

i thought he was just lookin for an inner

i should clarify i only have the c-rok inner, and my bumper is my outer

If he needs only the inner... C-rok is def cheaper.

            http://www.c-rok.com/sb.html $40

My bumper does nothing for bracing. Well... very little - so I needed it.

I have the outer JCR unibuddy tie in plates/steering box brace. They seem to do the trick for me.

the tnt brace ties un underneath the frame as well.

when my frame began to crack i used my bumper as the outer brace and it cracked around my bumper.

then i welded the tnt outer brace on and shits been good (also plated the frame all ova the place though)

unless they changed it to a weaker design since i bought mine about 2 years ago, the outer brace runs along the bottom

I want the inner and outer. I would rather make it more beef then I need to so I think I'm going to buy the TNT one that Doug since he and Sam don't have any problems. They wheel a lot harder then I do anyway. Thanks for the help guys
