Will my tranny blow if I change the fluids in it? Someone in the forum told me a while back that it might but I want better input. I have a AX-15 tranny with 127,000 on it. Thanks for the input.

hes talking about the theory on changing the fluid of an AT but thats still wrong, its just that theres no clutch dust to help the band friction so the clutch bands slip with the fresh fluid, nothing blows up. but this in no way is relevant to a manual transmission.2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited

I think its the flushes that can cause the issues. If the fluid hasn't been changed in a long time it builds up junk on internal components. When you do a flush you stir all that shit up and it can supposedly jam up your valve body. But again this is with an automatic.1993 XJ sport 3.5" rustys 33" MTZ's armored.

The only trouble you will have with changing fluids (and this only pertains to an AUTO trans) is when you dont change the fluid for a long time. THis is because the fluid gets burnt and dirty and the trans breaks in with the bad oil. When you change it, the trans cant operate correctly
97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.
