  • taillight wiring

so i slap rigged a trailer wiring harness into my xj's tailights and plugged it into my friends car trailer lights and blew out my tailight minor circuit on the driver side cause the wiring for the trailer lights were shabby as fuck and shorted out.

my question is whether or not the left and right taillights are on separate fuses because the passenger minor circuit still works and the bulbs are not blown on the driver side and just to test i swapped in the 3157s from my amber socket and it still didnt work... if not that wheres the most likely spot i have a burnup in the circuit thats causing this?

i assume that they are. why did you 'slap rig' together a harness when you can literally pull the harness and plug in a T connector?
