i've heard from other people that use it on the interior to seal stuff, that it holds moisture and can cause rust over time

but like i said it might not be a problem on the outside where dirt/mud/water is constantly being throw around anyways

i had never heard that before. but i can see where the it could hold water due to how poreus it is when dried.

i ran pool noodle for 6 months in 05. it fell out, havent had it there since, never had 1 issue. its just open fender space. leave it open..it doesnt lead to inside the cab or anything, when your doors closed, its sealed.
