it's not the length of the driveshaft that becomes the issue, when you get a SYE you need a double cardan driveshaft to go along with it

with the 97+ usually anything above 3-3.5" will require a SYE

your jeep will require an SYE if you go any higher. you can run a stock xj front shaft on the rear

yes. the stock slip yoke driveshaft looks like this and slides in and out of the t-case, which will bind up when lifted


you need to get a double cardon shaft and SYE

you can pull a stock front driveshaft out of any auto xj (if yours is auto) and use that, find them for like 40-60 bucks

i just put in the PORC SYE in my 99 and used a stock front shaft in the rear. 25 for the shaft, 175 for the SYE
