Can you weld? Is there a reason you are choosing the clayton kit over bolt on kits?

Just throwing some options out there because there are very similar performing kits that don't require welding.

Do the 4.5 kit... if you want it higher you can always throw your budget boost pucks in and get that extra inch

4.5. If i went clayton thats what i would go with and in the end I want to be sitting on 37s.

it's time. getting the long arm upgrade kit.

should work well with the set up i have. not sure about the stock skid plate and trimming it but will tackle that challenge when it comes.

                  I ran claytons 5.5" kit and a 1" Poly bodylift on 35"s

Was a great setup (minus the axles)

Could have been a little lower i think.

4.5" sounds good if you are going to 35"s

I recommend doing a poly 1" Body lift tho, as it helps with body roll a ton. so maybe 3" springs would be better.

As for triming the skid plate, its not bad at all, their directions are very precise about how much you gotta take off.

As far as the stretch or trimming goes, i think it would be unnecessary for you.

                  Here was my old setup:

and just for some perspective, this is my new setup:
                  2.5" of lift, 1"Bodylift, 36"s.

just a word of advice, look into bumpstops and limiting straps.

                  good luck dude

i run 4.5" with clayton kit and 36's tire work out good. my friend has the 5.5" kit w/36" tires and his jeep performs fantastic.
