  • Tired of my suspension

I think it's time to Claytonize my suspension. I really like their kits and have seen them in action. Anyone have anything to say before I make the final decision?

          5.5" is too much?

          pros and cons welcome.

I can see its center of gravity changing significantly, anything else?

Too much height = Engine Implosion.
                  Or something.

Im running the 35's now, was looking to stick with that size.

I am going to have to change things if i stretch it.

what is this engine imploding deal?

                      ignore riot tech

5.5 is a lot IMO as others have said...4.5" on a tj can swing the 35" tire deal, mix and match with a body lift (small, 1") too if you please..

you runnin tube fenders? dont care about trimming? so on

some on here are opposed to lift due to the type of wheeling that we do, height won't implode your motor, just make you a little more tippy than you want to be in the rocks. if you dont mind trimming, you could run 35's at almost stock hieght. Going on the guess you dont want to trim that much, you could get away with 35's on 4-4.5 inches of lift. Either way, clayton is definately the way to go

the stretch is worth the work needed to get it done.

I am running 35's with 3" springs and a budget boost

I just want something more professional i guess.

total before saging i have 5", 5.5 with long arms was my first thought. I am not stretching it as I don't wheel as much as I want and a stretch wouldn't do much for me. I don't want to buy a new gas tank, i just want it to perform better and clayton seemed like the best of the best. I have seen them on ZJ's and it looked and worked like no other. No trimming allowed, this is somewhat of a DD/WW vehicle. I want to keep it as stock looking as possible, right now it looks like one of those jeeps that has lift and big tires until you look under it. I would like to keep it that way.

Please, any more comments are completely welcome. I take everything into consideration as most of you have been through it already

Clayton is a great kit, no denying there, i think youll be happy with it..

a stretch is overkill for your project it seems to me anyway...so good to go there.

i say run claytons arms and the whole setup but maybe try to go around 4.5-5" like youre at right now...5.5 wouldnt be the end of the world comparatively, just somethin to think about...i think youll be happy wit the kit regardless
