Will, I think that would be a good idea but you will need to drop the tank to bolt it to the floor, and you will have to have the bolts go from under up cause the tank is pretty tight to the floor. I would build my own setup, and i would make it so the floor mounts stay but the rack itself cna be removed from it with some quick pins or hitch pins or bolts.
If you do that then you will still be able to remove it to SLEEP in your jeep on over night wheeling trips.
If you make it like that and make it angeled up like the one in your pic you should still have plenty of room to keep the rear seat in the locked position so rear passengers can sit w/o the seat tilted forward. Cause thats o incredibly comfortable.
And i will admit when i had my detours bumper on my xj with a 35 on the back visibility was horrid and it weighed down the back alot. here it is on toms jeep with a 32" tire now, its not bad but still not good. I deff backed in to a honda civic after having it on there for 2 years cause i had gotten to a point of not even looking back any more.

Will, i think your going to have to make a sacrafise no matter what way you look at it
loose the back seat, loose visibility, or loose the peace of mind of carrying a spare. unfortunately i cant think of a way to keep it all.
in my old YJ, i had my 35" spare behind the drivers seat, it stood verticaly and was held down to a support that ran from the main hoop to the c-pillar.
in my friends TJ, he has his 36" irok horizontal mounded where the rear seat used to be, but its "floating" at just over wheel well height and tied into the cage. thiss allows room to toolboxes and such under it and you can still see over it.
i think if you could incorporate something along these lines inside your jeep, it would work out best for you. but your going to loose your back seat. but tis the price you pay for going bigger/more trail dedicated."when I'm riding my motorcycle,I'm glad to be alive...when I stop riding my motorcycle,I'm glad to be alive"
