I have my flairs off to trim and like the looks of the jeep with out them. I am either gonna leave them off or just move the stock ones up. Does anyone think I will get hassled by the police if i just leave them? Anyone in the west haven area have any experience with this? Anyone have a good way of securing the stop flairs in the higher location?

I have had my flares off for 2 years now and my tires stick out 4 to 5 inches and i have never had any problems. legally in ct you can have the tires sticking 3 inches out past the body. my friends a cop i asked him he had to look it up cause they never enforce it.1996 xj, waggy 44 front 5.13 gears aussie trussed, 3 links, 3.5" coils, spooled 8.8 rear, 38" tsl sx's, tnt front bumper, jesus freaks rear bumper, Olympic top hat roof rack, bunch of dumb shit

yeah in ct they dont so much get you for tire sitting out of the side, its how much tire they can see from behind your jeep. technically you are supposed to have the tire covered from the center of your axle tube to the top from the rear iwht mudflaps etc... but it isnt often enforced especially if you dont drive like a doucheComment

Thanks guys ill just leave them off. I've only been pulled over once in the 8 years I've had my license and besides with the 33s on stock gears I go from 0 to 60 in about 3 minutes hahaComment
