  • tail light help (doug)

so i'm trying to wire up my new trailer lights to my jeep. i bought a coverter box because the xj has 1 light for stop/tail and 1 for turn. the trailer lights only have 1 light for stop/turn/tail.
the converter is supposed to eliminate this issue and allow the brakes and turn signal to both be on.

well it isn't working. i'm getting random combinations of lights going on anytime i use stop turn or tail in the jeep

i wired the tails directly to the jeep and it all worked marvoulously but the turn signals did not turn on with the brakes on (this is correct). as soon as the box is intgrated in any configuration, it goes all random as fuck.

my main question is... doug you have these tail lights, how did you wire them and what am i missing
