i've got some RE 5.5 leafs and a 1.5inch shackle. i took a leaf out and they don't flex for beans. how in the world can i make these things flex?

5.5 leafs aren't ever going to flex that much, they just have so much or an arc that getting them to really flex is hard, i would start with getting rid of the shackles and putting in sliders it provides more extension of the leaf's where shackles only allows about 3-4 inches sliders can allow 8-121991 YJ, 1 tons, locked, lots o armor, stretched, cage

or you can just pester people until someone says they will do it
my shackles allow well over 4" of front to back movement. you don't really need anymore than that anyway.
and bumpstops will help with flex beleive it or not. think of it like a see-saw. if one tire is completely stuffed and that side is contacting the bumpstop it will force the other leaf spring down a lil more.
