last week, i noticed my coolant was very low. i filled it up, and last night i went to check everything before heading to RC later today and the container was empty again. i filled it back up...but i obviously have a leak of some kind. the car hasn't overheated, it only went up a bit last week and that was when i noticed it was low. oil is good, and no white smoke coming from my exhaust.

what vehicle?
I wouldn't be to scared to drive it just keep it topped off.
Keep an eye on the temp
sometimes you need a pressure pump to find leaks.
Sometimes they just leak under pressure and turns into steam so you never see a puddle.
Worst case it is a head gasket but they usually cause the coolant hoses to get very hard very quick.
If it a 2000 and up 4.0L open up the oil cap and look in when it is hot if you see green bubbles you have cracked head.
If you really need a ride I might be able to give you a ride.

The 4.0L are known for cracking when the head cracks it just so happens to be right under the oil cap.
So if you open the cap in look in if you see green the head is cracked.
It might need to be hot to build a little pressure.
Coolant leaks are just one of those things that you need to clean it off and take a good look. Hose, Clamps, radiator water pump, etc. then the not so easy to figure out. Heater core, usually smell or steam when you put the heat on.
Heads are always tricky.
If the leak is slow enough you shouldn't have an issue.
I can take a quick look at Rausch.
Or bring it by the shop in Trumbull one night I work. (mon, wed)RCrocs #123 Brown CJ-5
