i have not confirmed the leak aspect, not sure where to start with that.

FWIW before i did any of this, the jeep wouldnt blow any sort of warm air under any circumstance.
They have a pressure tester that they make for this exact procedure. It's like an 80$ kit from harbor freight (although i'd assume advanced auto or something similar would do this for free.)

Anyways it hooks up to the radiator cap (they unscrew the rad cap and screw on this device) and they pump pressure into the system. If the system holds the pressure, you know that everything is sealed and that there are no leaks. If the pressure doesn't hold, you know you have a leak somewhere and the pressure really makes it obvious as to what's leaking. You can then replace the leaky/faulty part. However, i'm not even sure that a leak would cause no heat.

if i remember correctly, a leaking heater core will mean you have fluid on your passenger side footwell area pretty consistently

      anyone confirm this?

i dont have anything like that

Windshield moisture & sweet smell are classic signs of a leaking heater core.

and a wet passenger side floor as you've mentioned is also a sign. Pick up the mat and look. You might also see wetness on the firewall if you peel the carpet back.

I haven't read this entire thread, but the dash pretty much must come all the way out to replace the heater core.

this is the source of your late model wet floor....dads 98 heat works fine, floor is always wet when it rains.

This was how I figured mine was gone. A few people said my car smelled like maple syrup when they got in and then I kept getting a foggy wet spot on the center of my windshield.

Have you driven it down the road yet? A lot of times the system just gets a bit air bound after flushing it. If you get good heat with rpm its not clogged, you don't have flow.
If you haven't driven it, double check the level and take it for a good spin.

Will sounds like a clogged heater core.
we have a pneumatic powerwasher thing at work to flush heater cores.
If you already had the hoses off that is the hard part they like to get stuck I can flush it for you one night I'm at the trumbul garage.
I should be there monday and tuesday next week.
I just did mine a couple weeks ago, heat works great now.

The only other option is swapping heater cores which takes a lot more time.

and if your core is leaking small leaks will steam up the window larger leak with leave puddles on the floor.

You can pull one hose off while it is running to check the flow.
