  • Trim Paint

I'm going to be painting some trim for a light blue 98 XJ 4.0 Sport 4dr with body color trim. I need to know what the original trim/body color was called and where I can find some paint for it. I have the ability to setup a make-shift spray booth so I'm not worried about what form the paint comes in, in fact I'd prefer a quart over a rattle can. Appreciate any help.

    Try paint world.

i was going to paint world in New haven for spray cans of blue for my 57 gmc. they can look up factory colors and have thousands of paint chips.... but it was like 25$ a spray can for paint they mix there. i had no choice but you might be able to find it cheaper else where.

        eric,
I'm not sure as i would bother with painting the trim and just peal it off (especially if this rig is getting wheeled!

The paint code should be marked on the door. Bring that to a paint shop (I was going to say Paint World, too) and they can mix it.

            Tell me how it goes.

I have a snowmobile hood that i can't seem to match the color of anywhere. It needs to be repainted pretty badly.

It's not for me mine I would not even consider keeping trim on any of my rigs. It may be wheeled a little bit but only if I can convince her that it's more fun to wheel than have a pretty Jeep
