  • Is This Worth Anything?

    I just realized that i've begun to collect some jeep parts. I really don't need any of it, and instead of just junking it, i assumed i might be able to get some money out of it for what it is rather than scrap metal. Is any of this worth keeping or selling?

    I have;

    - Rough Country Track Bar (XJ)
    - Stock Drag Link/Tie Rod (TRE's might be bad.)
    - Stock XJ Front Bumper W/ Bumper Caps.
    - An Entire Axle Out Of A ZJ. (Not Sure What Kind, Can Someone Recognize It?) - It Has No Brakes. I Used The Discs For My XJ. I Do Have The Axle Shafts.

    Oh, and i have some XJ Tow Hooks that i never used, are they worth anything? I threw up a picture of them as well.

      That looks remarkably similar to my axle, and i thought i had a 8.25. Can someone tell me what my axle is? Thanks.

      I think the gears are still in that ZJ axle, are they worth anything? They're 3.55s.

        looks like an 8.25.

        the 8.25s are a bit more oval than the dana 35s

          Disregard the cover itself: Flat bottom differential housing = Chrysler 8.25

          Another way to tell is the thicker axles tubes, 8.25s have much larger axle tubes than the D35 and D44, if you've got a good eye.

            8.25's have the same tube diameter as a D60.

            The 35 isn't scrap. Sell it to someone with a blown rear end that doesn't want to fork over the dough and the welding time for an 8.8, 44, etc.

                You just have to find the people willing to give you money for it...

                  It seems as if the only debate is over the price of the axle. I think i'll just throw it on Craigslist for like 50$. Maybe somebody will want it strictly for the shafts. Maybe i'll just sell the shafts for like 30$ and include the axle as an added bonus.

                  Anything else worth money? The track bar is worth nothing? What about the tow hooks or the stock drag link/tie rod or the stock front bumper?

                        A 99 XJ. There is a little scratch on the front of one of them. I could get some pictures of them if you wanted.
